1. I only create originals; there are no authorized mass printed copies of my work

The long version…

As an artist, obviously, I want to share my creative work with as many people as possible.  At the same time, I prefer that each painting be unique and that each owner of one of my works is certain that theirs is one-of-a-kind.  With the advent of modern technology and on-demand printing, many artists are able to share their work with thousands, or maybe hundreds of thousands of patrons.  

I encourage and congratulate them for their popularity and business success, but this is not the concept of my gallery. While an artist may reproduce their own work for sale as many times as they like, modern technology also allows for others to reproduce their work, perhaps without their permission, diluting both the uniqueness and value of each individual painting.  While the prices of my works are economical, when compared to original works of artists, they are naturally more expensive than mass-produced factory prints.  Visitors to this site who find themselves comparing prices of my original works to print-on-demand works from other artists are requested to consider these important differences.

While I offer a number of “standard” painting types with similar themes, each painting I sell begins its life in my gallery as a blank canvas.  The paint is applied with a pallet knife, creating its own unique “fingerprint” texture that is unlike any other in the world.  I personally sign each painting by hand without use of any machine or other automation.

This means that if you encounter one of my works that has been printed by a machine and without my original signature, you will know that it is a fake and a copyright violation.
